The bill (Reg. No. 6681) amends clauses 52, 389 and 390 of the
Criminal Code of Ukraine to extend their effect not only onto the persons whose
punishment was awarded by court judgment, but also on those whose punishment
was awarded under clause 82 of this Code as a change of the unserved part of
punishment for a more lenient sentence.
The author of the bill believes that the act corrects the deficiencies in the applicable Criminal Code as to the institution of criminal proceedings against the persons who evaded the service of sentence regardless of the procedure of its assignment.
